Matthias Neukirch
Matthias Neukirch, born in Aufsess in 1963, studied at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts Mozarteum Salzburg. He has appeared on stage at Theater Neumarkt in Zurich, Staatstheater Kassel, Nationaltheater Mannheim, and Schauspiel Hannover, where he acted in productions by Jürgen Gosch, Nicolas Stemann, Christoph Frick, Wilfried Minks, Sebastian Nübling, and Jossi Wieler. From 2009 to 2015, Matthias Neukirch was an ensemble member at Deutsches Theater Berlin, where he appeared in the role of Mauler in Nicolas Stemann's production Saint Joan of the Stockyards and in Andreas Kriegenburg’s prodution of Aus der Zeit fallen. He also brought the novel Wolf unter Wölfen to the stage with Roger Vontobel and played the role of Staller in Stallerhof. Matthias Neukirch has been an ensemble member at Schauspielhaus Zurich since the 2015/16 season. His one-man-show Hans Schleif (director Julian Klein), which ran in the Kammer, was nominated for the Friedrich Luft Prize, and will continue to be shown.
