Die Welt im Rücken

A man is going berserk. Excesses are followed by a descent into depression, suicide attempts and recurring psychiatric treatment. He loses friends, his apartment, his possessions, himself. The novel by Thomas Melle on which the play is based was nominated for the German Book Prize, the production was invited to the 2018 Berliner Theatertreffen, and Joachim Meyerhoff was voted Actor of the Year for his role by the German magazine “Theater heute” in 2017 . Melle’s play “Versetzung” can be seen in the “Kammer” at the  Schauspielhaus Zürich from January 2019.
