Casa 18

Although Casa 18, a small boarding house boasting sweeping views, is a little outdated, it is managed with much love and passion. The establishment hosts a few permanent guests who pass their time telling stories. A pianist accompanies them with the melodies and sounds of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Visitors from the area are also very welcome in the evenings. Casa 18 is full of secrets – a whimsical, poetical cosmos in which the extraordinary is discovered in the ordinary, the fresh is discovered in the hackneyed, fantasy leads to greater clarity, and vice versa. Featuring stories by the Swiss author Jürg Schubiger, this production philosophises about life, which is always only here and finite – after all, if it were ubiquitous and eternal, it would be all too easy to miss.
