Luzia Tschirky

Luzia Tschirky (*1990) was a correspondent for Swiss Television SRF in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the Caucasus and several countries in Central Asia. She lived in Moscow, Russia, from 2019 to 2022. At the beginning of the Russian war of aggression, she travelled to Ukraine to report. From the first days of the large-scale attack, she reported from and about Ukraine and the war that will shape the entire European continent for decades to come. In the years leading up to the Russian war of aggression, as a journalist in the region, she witnessed people living in a state of constant crisis due to poverty and violence. The industry magazine Schweizer Journalist:in honoured Luzia Tschirky as Journalist of the Year and Reporter of the Year 2022.
