Songhay Toldon

Songhay Toldon, born in 1989 in Vienna, studied dance at the Trinity Laban conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where he specialized in contemporary and urban dance. He is a dancer, actor, and model. Frankie Johnson taught him "the joy of house," DJ Renegade taught him "how to relax and to not care when I dance," and Gary Clarke, "not to overthink and to be in the moment when I dance.” A few years ago, he met Trajal Harrell, whom he has worked with ever since, and whom he joined at Schauspielhaus Zurich in 2019 to be part of the Schauspielhaus Zürich Dance Ensemble.
