Evelina Stampa
Evelina Stampa was born and raised in Zürich Switzerland. After moving to London and graduating University of Arts with a bachelor’s degree in Theater Dance, Evelina went on to choreograph for commercials and plays, established her own dance company and was a contestant on the television show So You Think You Can Dance: Poland. In 2015 Evelina received the Fulbright Scholarship with which she was able to move to Los Angeles to pursue a career in directing and attend UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television where she graduated with a master’s degree in Directing. While in Los Angeles, Evelina directed not only her own plays but was an assistant director and movement coach in musicals, plays and opera’s such as Daddy Long Legs at the International Theater in Long Beach, Cendrillion and The Visit at The Freud Playhouse Los Angeles. In 2019 Evelina’s production of Wedekind’s Spring Awakening won the Los Angeles Broadway Theater Award and the Scenie Award for Best Direction and Best Choreography for a play. Evelina has also been a director on short films such as After Meredith and Taste starring US actress Stephanie Drake (Mad Men). Furthermore, she has been working as a movement coach and choreographer on various music videos and short films including Allegra’s Bodyshop which won the Best Comedy Short Award at the Austin Comedy Festival in 2018.
Evelina is currently based in Zurich working in theater and behind the camera as a director and choreographer as well as a teacher in various dance and theaters schools.
