Born In Flamez

Shirking notions of identity, Born in Flamez subverts gender and genre with a panoply of influences somewhere in the nether regions between deconstructed pop, club sounds, lofi, grime, and classical music. The project has released tracks on LA based label FoF, Mexico’s Infinite Machine, Monkeytown and UnReal and collaborated with the likes of WWWings, Grasps, Quest? onmarc, Ziur, the US noise institution Health and Modeselektor. Recently, BIF has been touring a new hybrid live show based on their 2019 records Suriving Capitalism (FoF), and Dinosaur Shakedown. Early 2019 saw them touring Europe with US noise institution Health and release a remix record and a FACT best of club rated Single. Later in the year they toured with US cult‐rapper BBYMUTHA and worked on collaborativ work EMPATHY NOW. 2020 saw them reinterpret Schubert, and develop, film and edit “Body Politics”, a digital commission for CTM Festival and Festspielhaus Hellerau. Born in Flamez co–curates renowned CTM Festival.
