Laura Paetau
Laura Paetau’s work deals with feminist and post-migrant themes and aesthetics. She has worked as a dramaturge in the independent theatre scene in Berlin, among other things for Frutas Afrodisíacas, a co-production of Studio Я, Maxim Gorki Theater and Ballhaus Naunynstraße, where she also worked on other productions. Laura studied social sciences and specialised in feminist and decolonial theories. She was a scholarship holder of the International Research Training Group “Zwischen Räumen – Entre Espacios” at the Latin American Institute of the Freie Universität Berlin. A research trip took her to the Department of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Laura is experienced in activist collectives and self-organised artistic processes. Together with the (heidy) collective, she curated the exhibition What is queer today is not queer tomorrow at the neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst (nGbK). From the 2019 season onwards, Laura Paetau will be a dramaturge at the Schauspielhaus Zürich.
